Why do we emotionally eat?

Updated: Mar 29, 2022

The real reasons why we emotionally eat, time and time again.

We all emotionally eat or drink, it's been a way for us to get through the day, a way to have a cheeky bag of chips to make us feel better, or a wine at the end of a stressful day with the kids.

“Aw just a glass of wine won't hurt I deserve it, it's been such a big day, I need to take the edge off.”

Does this sound like you?

Do you find yourself going to the fridge when you aren't feeling good?

We Fear Our Emotions

When we actually take a moment and look at why and question the real reason why we are not loosing weight, always going for food and drink to feel happy.

This is when we can really start to make a change, but why don't we take a look and really go into the root cause of why we do what we do day after day?

It's Fear we are scared to actually feel the emotions that we naturally need to feel, to be happy.

There is many reasons to why we are scared of emotions, this is something you need to dive into, but if we choose to keep suppressing our emotions with food or drink, then we will never change and keep doing the same thing over and over again.

This in turn teaches our kids that are looking up to us for inspiration, being little sponges that they are, they look at us and do what we do.

So my question for you today is this, how long will you stay in fear, and choose to not look at what is really going on?

You can do another diet, join a gym, but if you don't get to the root cause, a diet or exercise plan won't change your habits and behaviors, "you just have to do the work".

If you do wish to go into the reason why, and start to make a start on this, then my next workshop on beyond emotional eating is for you, just click the link to invest in your health so you can change the next generation by your decisions.
